Dr.
Gorin attended the University of Notre Dame for undergraduate training
and received his medical degree in 1972 from the University of Connecticut
School of Medicine. He
completed his training in the pediatric residency program at Connecticut
before moving to Maine and opening his own private practice, where
he served for fifteen years.
In 1990 he returned to Connecticut to work at the UConn Student Health
Service and four years later returned to private practice, joining Mansfield
Pediatrics. He lives in Storrs with his wife, Ginnie, a teacher. Their
three children and three grandsons also now live in the Mansfield area.
Dr. Gorin has continued on the staff of the University of Connecticut
Medical School as a Clinical Assistant supervising a medical student
in his office weekly. He enjoys the multicultural aspects that
a practice in a university town affords. He also travels to Haiti
regularly where he is active in several health care projects.
Dr. Gorin enjoys gardening, sports (especially the UConn teams) and
following all his grandsons' endeavors from saxophone to ice hockey.
